Dr. Remi Nader is the founder and president of the Texas Center for Neurosciences. He is a Board-Certified fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon. A proud member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Nader treats all aspects of brain and spinal disease including brain tumors, degenerative and traumatic conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He is a leader in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery.
 
In order to determine which patients may benefit most from surgery, when other conservative therapies have failed, Dr. Nader utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies to narrow down the precise location of pain, facilitating the least invasive surgery possible and minimizing postoperative pain and recovery time.
Dr. Nader completed his medical school training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and his general surgery internship at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He obtained his neurological surgery residency from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed a fellowship in skull base surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also has 18 months of training in neurosurgical oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.

In addition, Dr. Nader has attended numerous training courses in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery.
 
Along with caring for patients, Dr. Nader is involved in ongoing research. While in practice in Mississippi, Dr. Nader was the first surgeon in the state to perform spinal fusion with the use of autologous stem cells. While in residency, he published extensively on spinal disease and brain tumors. He has presented topics at many national and international neurosurgery meetings and authored over 100 peer reviewed papers and book chapters in neurosurgery. He has also authored four neurosurgery review textbooks which are used extensively by the neurosurgical community.
 
As an affiliate faculty member of the University of Texas Medical Branch and Tulane University, Dr. Nader regularly trains other neurosurgery residents through lectures and conferences. Dr. Nader is a scientific advisor to national spine technology companies and has appeared as a consulting neurosurgery expert for news channels such as ABC.
 
Dr. Nader is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, fellow of the American association of Neurological Surgeons and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is doubly board certified both in the USA and Canada. He is a member of many prestigious societies which include the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and North American Spine Society.
